Behavior

[Palm Springs International Film Festival 2015 report]
The difficulties of being a poor kid in Cuba get absorbing attention in BEHAVIOR, as it chronicles (in Spanish) the devotion and challenges of young troublemaker Chala (Armando Valdes Freire) and the fight his unstoppable schoolteacher (Alina Rodríguez) puts up to help him, at risk of her own job. No easy villains, no sentimentality; just straight-up, clear-eyed storytelling. And a great ending. –YSM

About Your Sacrificial Moviegoer

We love to sit in the dark with a big tub of popcorn amid a roomful of strangers. Reports on what we witness there come in two varieties: Bullet Reviews quickly and concisely convey our take on a film, always in spoiler-free fashion; Trailer Trash reveals Your Sacrificial Moviegoer's best prediction on whether an upcoming movie is worth seeing, based solely on the trailer (the short "previews" before the feature presentation).
